i just reformatted my laptop because of viruses. i already downloaded the Sony VAIO Vista drivers for my laptop, but it wouldn’t work. it says that the drivers are not compatible with my device. i was thinking the XP drivers MIGHT work.
PS: before i reformatted it to vista, i have been an XP user. and i had no problems with it.
Should i just go back to XP?
are Sony Vaio Windows 7 drivers released already?

No. They are not compatible. Changing from XP to Vista is a bad idea. Windows 7 is better. Just remember, XP drivers are for XP OS. Vista drivers are for Vista. Win 7 drivers are for Win 7. However, there may be instances when you can’t find Win 7 drivers for Win 7 so you may try using Vista drivers.
Some might work, some don’t.
Even if some of them work, they won’t be 100% working well.
Make sure you have downloaded the correct drivers. Check if the drivers are for Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit, and make sure that it matches your Windows Vista.
Well, if you want to & everything still doesn’t work, just go back to XP. Its performance is better than Vista anyway.
Go bk to XP vista is microsofts biggest veux pas
Go back to XP, or go for 7. Skip Vista cos it sucks up lots of resource. If you are a slave to microsoft, that is.
Alternatively, download a copy of free linux distribution (Ubuntu is good), use it and you are safe from viruses for a long time – don’t even bother to go hunt for an anti-virus program.
