Why doesnt my Sony Vaio motion eye webcam record properly?

OK i have a sony vaio laptop and it came with a motion eye webcam. Everytime i record something, when i play it back it plays back like if its in fast forward or something and the sounds messes up and eventually the video doesnt even playback sound. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the cam driver but the problem is still there. Wat can i do to fix this?
