Why does cursor suddenly jump from where I’m typing to different parts of what I already typed?

It’s a fujitsu lifebook A series. This is quite annoying, I’ve had it about a year. Now i\’ve to bang the period key really hard to get the period to come up also.

you are probably bumping the touchpad with your palm, it happens to me all the time, you can go into control panel and tell it to turn of tapping
