why are there 4 different hardrives in asus laptop?

and only one of them of used which is called vista os. how can i use the other four?

    two possibilities… you either have 4 actual hard-drives or one hard drive split into 4 partitions

    If you can “see” the 4 disks in Windows Explorer, then they are all formatted (at least one of them is – your Vista partition). Each of them is assigned a drive letter. Simply use the drive letter and click on it in Windows Explorer or use the drive letter where ever a path is needed.

    To answer your question, though, would require more information about your system.
