Which is better? Mini-Laptop?

My mum wants to get a mini notebook for work.
She has two in her mind.
1. Benq Joybook U101
2. Gateway LT1004u
As there is promotion, Benq’s Joybook cost 699$ and Gateway’s LT cost 588$. Aside from brand and money issue, my mum wants to base on performance and the value in the market in the long run. Which model is worth your money and good investment?
