What are chances of getting a macbook for ibook?

My iBook is starting to freak out. I think it might be hardware issues. Luckily I got the apple protectiat plan which expires next year. Since iBooks have been out of productiat for a year (2 years?), what are the chances that, if they can’t fix my mac, they send me a new MacBook?

The chances of them replacing your iBook with the Newer MacBook Pro are NONE. Irreguardless if you have Applecare or not. Read the Applecare. They will fix your old one. I have never heard of them sending an upgraded computer in the place of a discontinued model.
They will fix your old one.

If it’s the first time it has freaked out…..no chance at all. I’ve read that only problematic Macs, returned for service atleast 3 or 4 times for the same problem(s) will be replaced with the current rev Mac.
