You can always try it and see what happens.
try and see if it works and if not call support and tell them your problem
99.99% of Windows Vista drivers work with Windows 7. It will most likely work.
I had a similar problem before on my HP laptop.
I went from XP to Windows 7. It was a sound problem, and no sound was able to come out through my speakers. Haha.
I contacted Microsoft, Costco, everywhere!
Funny how they thought the same thing. It must be a driver only on the Windows 7 page.
That is not true.
I went to the Windows XP Drivers page at HP and found the driver, installed it, even though I have Windows 7, and my sound was fixed!
Go for that Windows Vista driver download, it won’t matter because I know for sure it will get fixed and nothing wrong.
So just know, missing drivers.. Get it from the Operating System you had when you first bought it.
Which yours was Windows Vista, so download missing drivers from the Vista page first, then the Windows 7 page.
Hope I helped and good luck.
You should be very happy with the fix, because I know I was.. No sound? That’s a killer.
