My MSI Laptop Wont Open What Do I Do?

Posted by admin 1 April, 2010

My computer wont start. First of all my Itunes didn’t start because of error seven. Then the next day I turned on my laptop and it said : sorry for the problem but………….pick either start from last saved or start normally. So i tryed both of those but it still kept coming back to the same screen. So eventually after trying to boot my laptop and set it up I came to a screen where it said all these numbers and words and then I pressed F3. Once I did that it came up to a page called MSI Recovery. On that page I could either recover or exit but when I exited it all started over again. So I tryed it again and pressed recover and a message came up. It said that if i pressed recover my C drive would be erased. What is a C Drive? I thought it was all my memory like Itunes and my documents so I turned of my computer. Is there a way to fix my computer and restore windows to normal without erasing my C Drive and what is a C Drive. Please tell me the way! Please help me fix my computer. It is a netbook(MSI) so please help!!!!!!

You can try to get a few registry restore programs and defrag it and stuff. Also uninstall any programs that you may have added recently that is causing the problem(try reinstalling them 1 at a time to see what is causing it)

I reccomend these programs to keep a pc virus and problem free And the best part is all of these programs are free. BTW a C: Drive is the main drive on a pc usually the hard drive. recovering will erase all itunes.pics/games datea but will restore your pc to a factory(fresh out of box) state. and sometime s is the only answer.

    Antivirus: Avg Free(google it)
    Defrag: smart defrag
    C Cleaner: Ccleaner
Registry error fixer: Advanced system care free

The C: Drive is a section of your hard drive that your computer thinks is a full drive in its self (commonly known as a Partition in the hard drive). The C: drive is where all of your info is and a recovery will erase it all because the recovery will start your computer fresh right from the beginning, no programs that you installed will be on there but Windows and all of your files are formatted over. But there is a way to save your info before doing the recovery to repair your computer.

If you buy a 2.5″ SATA hard drive enclosure from your local electronics store, or from a website like:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=Property&Subcategory=92&Description=&Type=&N=2010010092&srchInDesc=&MinPrice=&MaxPrice=&PropertyCodeValue=538%3A7124&PropertyCodeValue=541%3A7131&PropertyCodeValue=541%3A44017&PropertyCodeValue=541%3A44016

Then you can remove your hard drive from your computer, put it in this enclosure, and then connect it with the USB cable the enclosure comes with to another computer and get the files off of your hard drive just as if it was a USB thumb drive. If you go to MSI’s website and look at the manuals/support documentation for your model of netbook then it should give you instructions on how to take out the hard drive. It’s usually really easy to get to the hard drive in a laptop, so don’t worry about messing things up :) it’s almost fool proof.

Once you have the files you want, just put the hard drive back in the computer and do that Recovery process and your computer will be as if it was brand new.

And I believe that Domi didn’t understand that your computer wont start up at all. You cannot perform that tasks he said if you can’t load your operating system.
