Is there a default password for dell xps m1710 laptop?

I recently bought a dell xps m1710 notebook at eBay. However, i\’m faced with a white screen with black writing asking for a password after I turn it at before watdows boots. i\’ve cattacted the seller but am awaiting a reply. Is there a default password set at these notebooks does anybody know?? Thanks.

    if you bought it from a dealer it is most likely 0000. however the passwords can be changed. if you bought it from a previous owner, they may have changed it for themselves. though it should have been taken off when it was sold to you, the previous owner will know the password

    No, and yes, but if you have a probelm start up in safe mode and bypass password, turn off computer, then turn on keep pressing pf8, and follow instrunctions.
