Is it safe to charge Apple MacBook battery all day long?

Posted by admin 17 May, 2010

Hi guys!
i\’m just wondering… Is it safe to let my Apple MacBook battery on charge all day long? Will that burnout its quality?
Should I unplug the charger at night?
Or should I run my Apple MacBook on its battery for a couple of hours and charge it again afterwards each time?

Just wondering, what is the best way to keep its battery life up and running to its full quality… :)

Thanks!

When using a laptop as a desktop replacement the battery should not be left in for long periods of time. The laptop will over time discharge the battery. Remove the battery – making sure that it is charged to 40% and store it in a dry, warm place. Ensure that it is wrapped protectively and nothing will be dropped on it.

The battery should be re-installed every 3-4 weeks and allowed to fully discharge. Leaving a battery in storage for longer than this without using could cause the battery to fully discharge as the circuitry of the battery itself consumes power.

Leaving a battery in a laptop while using an electrical outlet for long periods of time will keep the battery in a constant state of charging up and that will reduce the life cycle of the battery.

    Hi,
You should only charge the battery when it needs it. You may damage the battery over time if you overcharge it.

    Good Luck!

Yeh it is fine, if something were to happen you could sue apple for alot of money as it would be their fault fo supplying a faulty laptop. The chances of any laptop doing this is 1 in 100000000 i believe.
