Is it possible to disable glidepoint on laptop?

i\’ve a Fujitsu Lifebook E series with Windows XP pro and the glidepoint is messed up. If you touch anywhere near the glidepoint it will send the cursor all over the screen. i\’ve installed a mouse and prefer to use that, but when I’m typing, the cursor will jump all over if I hit near the glidepoint pad.

if u already have a mouse, click on my computer, view system information, hardware, device manger, mouse and mice devices, right click it, properties, uninstall it.
I agree with above me.
Also:
1. Chances are Fujitsu has a customization utility that should allow you to disable the feature.
2. Check your startup (msconfig). You may be able to remove the mouse app from starting there.
3. You may want to check the Fujitsu site and download any patches for this.
4. If you have the nerve (jk) use the System Restore to set the computer back to a different time. This should help you narrow down the problem.
email me if you get stuck.
