How to get most battery out of macbook? Can I buy a portable recharger?

i\’ve a black 13 inch macbook and I’m about to go on a long plane ride in a couple days and I want to know howe I can make the battery last the longest. Or if there is something I can buy and plug into it during the flight to recharge it?

A second long life battery is the way I went. Some planes have a cigarette lighter type outlet you can plug an adapter into. Ive heard. I can’t verify. I should find out. An extra battery can be good in non-airline long day trips etc.
