How do you update processors on oem laptops?

i bought an asus g73 notebook and i dont know if should update my processor to the intel site itself… im trying to find the update on asus’ site but cant find it

You mean update your drivers? updating your processor makes no sense unless you want to upgrade your hardware. Update your drivers from your manufactures site is usually best as they have particular integration patches for your specific model of computer
Not sure you know what you are on about, how do you update the processor by going to the Intel website? You may be able to upgrade the processor but many of the mobile processors are soldered in place and not changeable.
I think what you are on about is updating the drivers for the Intel chip-set. You may find the drivers on the Intel website but these will be generic and not specific to your model. Go to the Asus website and see if there are any updated versions of the chip-set driver for your model.
