How do I install my printer driver onto my Acer netbook?

I’ve downloaded the driver onto my netbook, but I don’t know how to install it. Could someone help me please?

Assuming you’re using win xp.
right click on the desktop where there are no icons
properties
settings
screen resolution
try to change it to some other size then what is selected now.
Maybe see if you can make it 800×600.
Then try to install the printer driver.
Change it back to whatever it is now…when you are done.
