Try reinstalling. Or better yet, try it using XP (assuming you’re using Vista). My m1330 runs XP far better than it does Vista, and Crysis runs BEAUTIFULLY (at 800×600 and all the graphics settings set to “minimum”).

I beat the game on this machine and never ran into anything like you’re describing. It seems like one of the game files used in that level is corrupted, so reinstalling would be a good thing to try. However, if you know what you’re doing with drivers, etc., I recommend downgrading to XP since it’s much less of a memory-hog than Vista. The m1330′s 8400M GS isn’t powerful enough to take advantage of DirectX 10, so why continue to use the bloated OS? If you had a much more powerful machine, then Vista might be considered worth it.

Food for thought: since XP runs far faster than Vista, shouldn’t “downgrading” actually be considered “upgrading”?
