how can i install xp on vista notebook fujitsu lifebook?

i have bought new fujitsu (notebook) lifebook two days before which is came with vista.
i could not install some older program,so i used windows me boot disk and formate everything.
now i have been trying to install windows xp since yesterday but i am receiving only this message ( setup will not continue because windows could not find any hard drive in your computer ) so i install win me and upgrade xp through xp cd, but there is no use
i am vasting my time please anyone help how to install xp on my notebook
i hate vista

    This means that Windows XP can not find drivers for the Sata Hard drive. You may find that your laptop is not compatable with XP. You need to download the drivers from Fujitsu for the hard disk then just before installing XP press F6 when it ask you if you want to install any third party drivers for hard disk support. If you find the drivers it will explain how to.
