How do I connect Fujitsu laptop to a TV?

Posted by admin 9 May, 2010

Hello, I’m having some problems with connecting my notebook to my TV to view movies/pictures…

Is it possible to connect my notebook (a Fujitsu Lifebook A series) to my TV? There is an S Video on the back of the notebook so I bought an S Video cable. It’s plugged in the notebook and TV but how would I change the display from monitor to the TV? My friend told me to go to display and look for video card but I don’t see it? Does that mean my notebook isn’t capable even though there’s an S Video in the back of notebook? Sorry, I’m a newb when it comes to this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

your lappy needs to have a composite video output in either in the rca socket[yellow] or a svhs socket [looks like a ps2port]
when connected up and your TV is on the correct input, there should be a picture of a monitor on the corner of one of your keyboard buttons. press th Fn button then the button with the monitor on it – job done
