I got rid of vista on my acer aspire 7520 and installed xp. I can’t find an ethernet controller driver. I need to be able to connect via ethernet at school for my online course, but the drivers are impossible to find. I have tried all the acer websites and a tonne of driver searching programs. Someone please help.

go to acer and D/L the driver

i think you’re barking up the wrong tree. it should be discovered automatically and the kinds of things you mention would be a function of network connections.

Go to system and delete the Ethernet listed. Reboot let it find the NIC. I haven’t installed a specific nic driver in years

    i don’t think so,
becuase mostly xp doesn’t need to install driver.
contact acer web site for further support.
and don’t you have CD which came with your pc , there will be driver in that cd. check it out.
