Have a Fujitsu LifeBook, spilled water on keyboard and now don’t have any sound. ?

After the spill many keys didn’t work, nor did the audio. Everything went back to normal except the audio. My system does not recognize it even having a audio device. How do I open it, what am I looking for, and will the damage be easy to fix or replace?

OK. Frist of all, don’t call GeekSquad or anything like that. I tried Vista Beta 2 and my computer crashed and I just got the sound to work yesterday. All I had to do was install the driver from Dell.com. If you don’t know what you’re doing, ask a friend. Also, your sound device might be broken or still have water in it.
Chances are the chipset for the audio was shorted out, truefully if that is all that happened you lucked out. On laptops this is not replaceable because it is built into the motherboard. If you need sound at times you can always get a USB sound card. The keyboard is replaceable, but this is not the easiest thing in the world to do, I would recommend you have someone with experience do this for you.
