Fujitsu Lifebook won’t boot from CD/DVD?

Hi, i\’ve a Fujitsu Lifebook N3510.

My DVD-RAM properly reads CDs and DVDs through Windows.

I want format my machine and re-install Windows. When I put in a CD, my notebook will attempt to read the CD but it won’t detect it.

Ideas??
The boot sequece has been correctly set.

I actually see the message “Checking Boot CD-ROM” at the start up!!

    Have you checked the BIOS and make sure the boot order is set for the DVD-RAM drive as first? If the hard drive is set for the first, then it’ll by pass the DVD-RAM drive and boot directly into Windows.

    - Is this a copy of the installation CD or the actual CD of Windows? Or is this a Manufacturers Restore CD for the Laptop?
