Driver problem with SONY VAIO VGN-FS660?
i\’m having problem with my wireless on my sony. It will detect & connect wireless internet, but then it will stop for about a minute or so, and reconnect itself. So the internet go on and off. I went to sony’s site and download the driver (at least I think i got the right one) and reinstalled it. But it’s no help. Not even sure if it’s the internet problem or what. It just keep saying “connection failed.” What should I do? Any help is appreciated. Thx.
Well, it only happen to my notebook, and no other computer in the house. It started after I format the drive. There’s not even one electrical devices next to the notebook. It just go on and off. If there is someone who know computer well, can he/she tell me which is the right driver I should download from sony’s site? Most of them just say “wirelsss.” Thx

Depending on signal strength and signal type (a/b/g/n), your problem may simply be that the signal is continually being dropped. If that’s the case, you may find being closer to the router may fix the problem. If that’s NOT the case, your problem probably lies in the settings on your router. If the router only allows for a “session” time of 2 minutes, it’ll disconnect your computer and end your “session” (a session is basically how long the router allots your computer bandwidth). You’ll have to change your router’s settings to fix that problem.
does this problem ocour always or this happen when u turn ur pc to sleep mode and when it again wake up then it happen. because on the website of sony vaio i have seen this that there is some problem with wireless and it behaves strangely after waking up from sleeping mode.
Are you next to a baby monitor or wireless camera(or someone in the next door apartment?) Another signal may be interfering with your connection. Just something to check.
