Downloading compaq net driver from the internet?

took my PC to get a driver and the tech guy has given me a link with different downloads(audio etc)on it,can anyone give me step by step proceedures(inc burn etc)to down load the driver onto a cd?10 points for best detail and instructions

    Go to the link that the tech guy gave you, and look for for the driver that you need. Click on it. You should now see a link to download the driver. When asked, save the file to My documents. Close all open windows. Open my documents. Right click on the file you just downloaded, and choose send to, CD-CDRW (or what ever your cd drive is labled in the send to menu) Wait for the file to be copied, then close all windows. Open my computer, then click on your cd drive. Look on the left side of the window and you will see “Write these files to cd…: Click it, you will be asked to name the cd. You can out anything here you want to, Click next, and the process of writing the file to a CD ROM will start. When the process is complete, the cd will eject. You can not put the cd into the other computer and run the file.
