Put the installation CD in and follow the instructions DON’T plug the printer until it tells you to.

choose your operating system and download the driver and it will work.
First off, HP is no good. You want Brother. 2 reasons.
1. HP sux, 2. They have too many drivers, software that causes problems.
Get a Brother Printer and you won’t have any problems, plus they have built in Wireless and that’ll save you a lot of head aches.
1. Make sure you have enough disk space to install ALL those drivers and software that your crappy Printer comes with. If you don’t there lies your problem.
2. If you do then, you’ll need an external drive to do the install, if not then put the cd in your computer and drag and drop the entire contents into a folder and save the folder to a flash drive and do the install that way.
and last but not least, YOU HAVE A “NETBOOK” not a “NOTEBOOK” there is a difference ! Good Luck !
Since an Eee PC does not have a disk drive you will have to download the driver from Hp.

Just select the correct one for you operating system (XP or Linux) and download and install.
Please note – do not hook up the printer until instructed to by the installation guide.
