Mine’s plugged in 24/7 and I’ve never had a problem.
If you’re gonna always keep it plugged in, I’d store the battery in a cold place, like the freezer. That would extend the longevity of the battery many times over, especially since you’re not actively using it.
A lot of experts recommend keeping lithium ion batteries at half power for storage and keeping it cool to prevent degradation of the cell and lower battery life. Heat kills batteries.
Modern batteries are not supposed to have a memory of charging technique, but I do not trust that answer. I have always charged the battery on my laptop, then removed the battery and ran it off outlet power, preserving the battery charges. Others will argue that this lets dust into your laptop and possibly the motherboard, but I have had three, all are still working, just ask my sisters, who have the other two! LOL! Does this help?
The lifetime of a battery will often decrease if the power cord is always plugged in if there is no mechanism that stops it charging once it’s full (i.e., overcharging results), so yes this is possible.
However, a lot of laptops do stop charging the battery once it’s full.
So if you want to always plug your laptop into the power outlet and you’re not sure whether the adaptor stops charging your battery when it’s full, then you can take out the battery so that the laptop runs straight from the power outlet.
You don’t have to unplug the charger every time the battery is full. Just my friend every 2 weeks let your battery to go down and charge it in full again for 2-3 times.
The best way to keep your battery safe is to don’t use it.
If you have the computer plug on the charger all the time just remove your battery. The computer is going to work the same.
Have a great day,

All new laptops are built in with feature to overcome overcharging, the only downside could be reduced charger life. See below a video from eHow
It should be fine to leave your laptop plugged in, because it should stop charging once it is fully charged.
Of course, there would be no harm in following the advice of unplugging the power cord – I recently got a new laptop and I have been unplugging it when the battery is nearing full charge.
An alternative option in this case is to simply remove the battery – then you could leave the power cord plugged in all the time without worrying about the battery life going down.
Hopefully one of these options will be useful for you!
go to some web to get the best way to take care the laptop battery
just take the battery out and leave it out unless you need it because if you charge the battery too much it won’t charge after a while and keep it in a cold place that will freeze the battery cells and chemicals so it prolongs the life
Laptop batteries stop charging when they are full. So there is NO possibility of getting it overcharged. Just leave it as it is.
