I have an OEM Whitebox ASUS laptop that has a PIII 650Mhz processor in it. It’s approximately 8 years old and never had a glitch. I still use it as a DVD movie player.

Depends on the model number and what type of processor it has. ASUS makes plenty of good computers and motherboards.

If you’d list the specs or the model number and what you will use it for i’ll tell you

    EDIT:

Keep an eye on the screen size. They sell some smaller laptops with 7 – 10 inch screens. Also look at the processor. If it’s new and has an Intel or AMD, i’m willing to bet it’s good. A VIA processor would be good if you ran something besides Windows (Linux)

OK I see it has Windows XP

They are pretty good quality wise and make some of the brand name notebooks too. They are cheaper and you do get what you pay for so keep that in mind. I might not buy one for business but would happily buy one for my wife or myself for ordinary use.
