Comparison: Acer and Asus laptops?

Are Acer and Asus both Taiwan companies? I think at least Asus is. Which makes higher-quality notebooks?

Yup, both are headquartered at Tapei, Taiwan. In general, Asus makes higher quality laptops, as Acer mostly aims at low-end to middle-end customers. However, Asus also comes at a higher price, though their product range covers even uber-expensive laptops. Both make decent desktops, though not of the highest caliber.
Asus is better
