Can Dell XPS 420 NVDIA handle a 9600GT?

the xps 420 has a power supply of 375 watts, but from what i hear it can go over becuase they say dells scale is different. i think the 9600gt power supply is like 450 watts. I want to get the computer but only if it can handle those kind of graphic cards.
