Can I change from Vista to XP on my new Sony Vaio?

Posted by admin 5 May, 2010

I recently just bought a new laptop to replace a Toshiba which had a burned out motherboard.

I’m wondering if I could get rid of Vista and put XP on this machine, because honestly, I do not care Vista.

The thing is, I heard that Sony does not provide XP drivers for the Vaio line and I would hate to strip the machine of Vista and then find out I can’t use XP either because there are no drivers available.

That is correct. If you go retro you will have to write your own drivers.
