Toshiba is a very good computer, the MSi is quite good though Toshiba do have a better name in reliability. They seem to have very similar specs, so I'd go the Toshiba for it's better customer support and better driver and hardware support.

this is just an opinion but you should get the Toshiba. I haven't seen the specs, but I had a really really old Toshiba laptop which was like 10~20 years old and it was really good and fast. but the MSI might be good too. but I would probably get the Toshiba one

By default, the fingerprint sensor is turned on all the time after start up. At the moment, it has no fingerprint to read so you need to store your fingerprints first. Click the fingerprint sensor icon on the taskbar or swipe your finger on the sensor. A menu should appear and from there follow the instructions as to how to utilize the sensor. Be careful when using it, because if it fails to recognize your fingerprints and you have no contingency plan, your computer will be locked up. So make sure, that you include a password as your back-up option just in case the sensor fails.

I can't exactly tell you step-by-step how to use the fingerprint because there are different softwares that use the device.

You can use the fingerprint sensor to log into your computer instead of typing in your password but it is suggest to inlcude a password just in case the sensor fails. You could even use the sensor to block certain websites from being viewed. Only you can gain access to these websites and the system will prompt you to swipe your finger on the sensor to gain access to that particular website. It's a very powerful feature and you should be careful when using it. For everything you secure with fingerprints, make sure you save a password as back up.

Just touch your finger to it and move it around and tap to click. If that's not working, try finding a button on the outside of the computer that might be responsible for turning it on/off. If that still doesn't work, contact the manufacturer, as the touchpad may be broken.
