Need Help Resetting bios password on a Fujitsu Lifebook N6410 Laptop?
our daughters friend Lexie(fictitious name used to protect the somewhat innocent) borrowed my wife’s notebook during a summer slumber party,being the little angel she is,she thought it would be so funny to lock each one out of the notebook….of course only temporarily(except she cant remember when she has to go the the little girls room most of the time LOL) Well what do you know shes forgotten the funny password she used…DUH hard to believe I know!!!
I reinstalled the OS and the notebook is currently usable in a sort of limp mode fashion
if anyone out there could help that would be excellent…we contacted Fujitsu and lets say they`ve been less than helpful Unless we want to pay them $299.99 per hour to clear it….to factory settings…
i\’ve the knoweldge to completely disassemble the notebook to the motherboard but I can not find the correct procedure to clear the bios passwprd
and shorting/damaging the mobo is seriously out of the question…

i have tried all the typical “Quick Fixes” posted for this problem today I completely removed the motherboard from the notebook
I removed all attached: plastic guides covers ect. from on & around the motherboard..in further inspecting the motherboards physical surface i`ve found something very interesting …
theres a section that has an 1/4inch wide 4inch long bar code sticker
just below that sticker is a set of holes

please note that these are in the order viewed from left to right
and are situated in a straight line
i used the ( * ) as a symbol for the hole in the motherboard corrsponding to the # either 1 or 2
all others are exactly as i see them

hi i have a asus laptop,windows vista and i cant remeber admin password?
please help everytime i want to logon i have to use the guest account,i cant download anyting either because i need the admin password. Is there a way i can reset it without a password being needed.
